An interactive demo is a clickable walkthrough of your real product that a prospect explores in their browser. No video to sit through, nothing to install, no sales call to book first. Here is the whole process, start to send, in about 10 minutes.
What the prospect sees: your real screens, one guided step at a time.
Skip the staging environment and the screenshot editing. Open your product in Chrome exactly as it looks at its best, with real-looking data on screen, and capture each page you want in the walkthrough with the Demopup capture extension. One click per screen. Three to five screens is the sweet spot: enough to tell a story, short enough that people finish.
Captured screens include whatever was on them, so blur or hide anything you would not put in an email: real customer names, revenue, API keys. In Demopup this is built into the editor. Click Blur, click the element, done. The redaction is baked in before anything is shared.
A raw product tour is a maze. Callouts turn it into a story: each step highlights one element, region, or full screen and says why it matters. Write them like a seller, not a manual:
If writing is not your thing, Demopup’s AI can refine rough notes into sharp callout copy, or you can dictate what you would say on a call and it drafts the callout for you.
The best demos let the prospect click the actual button that moves them forward, the same click they would make in the product. Link a click on each screen and the tour feels like driving instead of watching.
Address the viewer by name on the intro card, put your name on it, set the end card to the action you want (book a call, start a trial), and send the link. It opens on any device with nothing to install. With per-prospect links you will also see exactly who opened it, how far they got, and who clicked your call to action, which tells you who to follow up with and when.
No. The capture is your live product as it already renders in your browser. There is no sandbox to build, no code to write, and no design tool to learn. If you can click through your product, you can build a demo of it.
Enterprise demo platforms exist and they are good at what they do, but they are priced and designed for demand-gen teams. If you are one person selling your own product, compare before you commit: see our honest breakdowns of Navattic and Arcade, or the full alternatives overview.
